James W. · Executive Coach

London, UK
The Before
Qualified ICF coach, 14 years in HR leadership, technically excellent. But the practice was three clients on retainer at £600/month total — most of his time was still in his old corporate gig. He'd tried LinkedIn posting, a Squarespace site, two "client attraction" courses. Nothing held together.
What he did inside the Studio
  • Took the Pathways Assessment → routed toExecutive Coach.
  • Worked through Positioning Without Apology + the Pricing Without Guesswork programme.
  • Ran six Missions: rewrite bio, audit homepage, map warm network, hold 5 ideal-client interviews, ship a discovery call script, raise rate.
  • Used Studio Clinic for two pricing-conversation reviews.
"I'd done the coach training. What I'd never done was the work of becoming a business. The Studio didn't give me a hack — it gave me a sequence I could trust."

"The Missions are deceptive. Small actions, huge compounding effects."

Maria L.
Social Impact Coach · São Paulo, BR
"Three referrals in a month after one Mission. That had never happened."
Tom H.

— What actually changes

The patterns we see across member practices in their first year.

Before the Studio

  • Posting on LinkedIn hoping someone notices
  • Pricing whatever the last client paid
  • No repeatable way to book a discovery call
  • Saying yes to clients who don't fit
  • Wondering if 'business stuff' is even for them
  • Treating the practice like a hobby with paperwork

Six months in

  • A clear position the right clients recognise
  • A pricing model with a reason behind every number
  • A repeatable referral loop and a working pipeline
  • Discovery calls that close because they fit
  • Confidence to charge, decline, and own the practice
  • A coaching business — not a coaching habit
— Questions

About these stories.

Are these stories real?

Yes. Every case study is from a current or former Studio member. Names and identifying details are sometimes adjusted on request — numbers are not.

Are the results typical?

Coaching practices grow at very different speeds. The stories here are members who worked the Pathways consistently for at least three months. They're representative, not guaranteed.

How are members selected to feature?

We invite members who've completed at least one Pathway and have measurable shifts they're willing to share. We don't pay for testimonials or feature affiliates.

Can I talk to a featured member before joining?

We can sometimes connect you with a member in a similar niche once you've taken the Assessment. Ask in the Studio Clinic after joining.

Where can I read longer write-ups?

Long-form versions of each case study live in Studio Notes inside the member area, with the full sequence of programmes, missions and clinic episodes the coach used.
